FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |
Q. How will I know that you have received my electronic application?
A. If you provide us with an e-mail address on your application, you will receive an electronic confirmation if you have successfully submitted the application. In addition you will receive a confirmation message and number on your computer screen after you have clicked the submit button. You might also receive an error message, which will direct you to make certain changes and resubmit.
Q. How can I get information about specific job opportunities?
A. All job openings are posted on our web page. To express interest in a specific opening, please submit a one-page resume to the specific school site. We do not "flag" files or make specific recommendations for regular staffing opportunities.
Q. Can I make changes to my application once I have submitted it?
A. Not at this time. SIMPLE changes, such as address or telephone updates, may be emailed to our webmaster for changes. However, any other updates would require that you complete a new application. Applications are "date/time stamped" by the computer, so administrators will know which is the most recent.
Q. I sent in my electronic application, but I have not heard from any principals. Can you tell me the status of my file.
A. Please keep in mind that all principals have access to the database where your application is stored and that they make the contacts for interviews. We are fortunate to have a very large applicant base, and therefore every applicant will probably not be contacted. Once the school site makes a recommendation for hire, the final hiring process is taken over by the office of the Director of Human Resources. Feel free to mail a one-page resume to any site where you see an opening that interests you.
All job openings and a salary schedule, as well as information about our schools can also be found on the website. A database of these applications will be available to administrators for screening and hiring purposes. For this reason, we no longer use hard copy applications.
