DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop goals and objectives each year that are consistent with students and school's needs.
- Plan, direct, monitor, and evaluate instructional activities that promote student learning.
- Perform appropriate adjunct duties that promote student learning and that enable the school to function safely and smoothly.
- Communicate with the principal, other staff members, and the parents regarding student achievement, school and classroom programs and activities.
- Develop and maintain a classroom management plan.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Appropriate California Teaching credential
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous successful experience in subject area for which application is being made.
- Knowledge of content and standards relative to the subject for which the application is being made.
- Knowledge of effective teaching methodology.
- Ability, knowledge, and willingness to maintain, evaluate, and update grade level curriculum, assessment programs, and instructional methods in cooperation with other department members.
- Ability/knowledge to work with all types of learners.
- Knowledge of effective classroom management.
- Evidence of ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
- Capability/willingness to perform adjunct duties consistent with required qualifications and school program needs.
- Evidence of confidence, dependability, enthusiasm.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The selection will be based upon:
- The candidate's possession of the qualifications and considerations noted above.
- The endorsement of the candidate by previous supervisors, colleagues, etc.
- The endorsement of the candidate by the individuals involved in the selection process.
SALARY
Salary will be appropriate step on Certificated Salary Schedule.
